Kate and Doug Get Married!

I had such a great time at this wedding. Kate and Doug are a hilarious and amazing couple. Doug definitely kept me on my toes and Kate was calm and collected the whole night. Everyone had an absolute blast. And what kind of party is it if there isn't karaoke?

Astrid and Dan: Married!

Astrid and Dan have to be one of sweetest and smartest couples in the Twin Cities area. It's not common that I am contacted almost solely by the groom, but Dan was at the helm of finding and contacting the wedding photographer (way to go Dan!)

I had never been to the Gibbs Museum before, but what an amazing place! It's a little slice of the country right in the middle of St Paul . The very close to my heart (and stomach) Chowgirls catered, there was a barn dance and the wildflowers were all in bloom. Oh, did I mention Astrid wore a BLUE dress? Just thinking about it makes me melt into a little puddle of happiness!

I believe they had their rings made by Simply Wood Rings Absolutely gorgeous they were made with salvaged silver and had a rosewood inlay.

Anna and Steve: Married

Anna and Steve are such a great and relaxed couple. They had an intimate affair at Anna's parents house and made it extra special by having her father officiate (he earned his credentials online) and inviting only very close family and friends. Everything was gorgeous and these two couldn't be happier.

Katie and Chris: Married

When I met Katie and Chris a year ago I was so excited about the idea of shooting their wedding. Throwing lots of convention to the curb, this couple had an incredibly meaningful, gorgeous and fun wedding at Gale Woods Farm. The weather was perfect, the beer was cold and the shoes were hot! This is one of those weddings I wish I had attended before my own to get inspiration. So much thought, creativity and love was put into every aspect...

Kristi and Dave's Afternoon in the Garden Wedding

I am SO lucky to be able to work with clients like Kristi and Dave. We only had about one and a half hours to work together (Yes, I do custom to your day packages) including the ceremony and lots of family pictures. The skies were ominous but behaved themselves the entire time. The ceremony focused on Kristi and Dave's love for each other and the importance of their family and friends to their lives and their new life together. They included a ring warming ceremony where all the attendee's hold the rings while thinking positive thoughts and well wishes for the couple. I am in love with this idea! The bagpiper was a surprise to Kristi's mom and they walked down the aisle to Canon in D, traditional yet meaningful to Kristi who played the song on her cello with her brother (on viola) (and me on violin!) back in the day in Wauwatosa, WI.
